Hours of Work: 4.5 day week Staff Benefits: Life Insurance, Medicash scheme, Free car parking on site, Canteen, Career progression, Flexitime wbstaff Job Title: Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer Department: Quality Reports To: Supplier Quality Manager Purpose of Post To regulate, control and improve the quality of incoming materials, sub-assemblies, kits and major assemblies from various vendors Key Tasks Respond to material complaints, putting in place containment/quarantine actions and returning defective materials Completion of root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventative countermeasures Reduction of reject quantities, rejects costs, quantity of R2's and indirect costs caused by poor supplier quality Implementation of solutions in conjunction with suppliers to solve field service and warranty issues Implementation of all relevant processes and procedures within the Quality Management System Communicate with personnel at all levels, internally and externally in relation to quality matters Provide support to Production by elimination of rejects from stock identified by QA or Shop Floor personnel Inspection and testing of material at Goods Inwards Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the requirements of external providers. Undertake supplier on-site audits in line with the supplier audit schedule including the managing of any corrective actions that arise through problem solving exercises Undertake internal QMS audits Supervision of quality personnel with regards to the resolution of internal / external material quality concerns Establish, update and implement quality sign-off instructions, standards and documentation for all bought-in materials Ensure that all rectification/rework of materials is carried out and meets the agreed standards To work in conjunction with the QA/QC function to reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials Report against agreed quality metrics Work with suppliers to development zero defect opportunities and improvement ideas General Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality. Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
