Miryco Consultants are working with a leading general insurance firm who are looking to expand their pricing team in Manchester.
You will play a key role in shaping the development of the team as it continues to grow, acting as a leader both in terms of setting team culture and driving forward innovative strategies.
The Role
As a Pricing Manager, you will lead a team of analysts and work closely with senior stakeholders to develop and optimize pricing models that balance profitability, competitiveness, and customer outcomes. You’ll leverage cutting-edge analytics, machine learning techniques, and actuarial methodologies to influence pricing decisions across multiple product lines.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and enhancement of pricing models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
* Analyse large data sets to derive insights and improve pricing strategies.
* Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, and data science teams to refine risk assessments.
* Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to ensure we maintain a competitive edge.
* Present insights and recommendations to senior management, influencing strategic decisions.
* Support the continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes, and governance.
* Mentor and develop a team of pricing analysts.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong experience in insurance pricing, ideally within a general insurance setting.
* Proficiency in pricing tools and techniques, such as Emblem, Radar, SAS, Python, or R.
* Knowledge of actuarial methodologies and predictive modeling.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
Salary: Up to £85,000, plus bonus.
