Status – This is a casual role with no guaranteed hours or days. In this role, you will be covering sick (on-call) and annual leave. You will need to be available over Public Holidays and nights.
Location – Ashburton Hospital
Salary - Starting rate $23.75 per hour. Based on the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement.
Benefits - Time and a half on weekends and double time on Public Holidays!

Join our dedicated and hard-working Environmental Services Department in this part-time cleaner role. You will be part of a small fast-paced team that plays an essential part in maintaining Ashburton Hospital Facilities. The team provides exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year, across both day and night shifts.
You will be responsible for:
* Completing all cleaning tasks to a high standard
* Ensuring daily schedules and task lists are completed in a set time frame
* Working alongside other cleaners to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner
* Matching service requirements to the clinical needs
* Maintenance of equipment and operation according to specifications
* Utilising the correct chemicals and dilutions
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and flexible candidate who is able to bring their passion for cleaning to the Ashburton facility. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the Hospital a hygienic and safe space for our patients and whānau.
Minimum Requirements:
* High level of Patient confidentiality
* Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health is preferred but not essential.
Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.
