Position: Line Leader
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 45 hours, 14:00 - 23:00.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure correct reporting of accidents or near misses to the Health and Safety Manager.
2. Ensure employees are compliant with PPE and address issues where necessary.
3. Ensure every member of staff is trained in the safe working procedure for their tasks.
4. Identify training needs and train individuals on safe task conduct.
5. Highlight any unsafe conditions to the Health and Safety Manager/Officer and Engineering Manager promptly.
6. Complete safety Start Up checks for the line at the start of the shift, raising any issues to the appropriate manager.
7. Ensure adherence to SOPs when running the line and report issues or malpractice to the Production Manager.
8. Manage the line and area designated to you, taking responsibility for all food safety and operational issues as appropriate.
9. Achieve daily output targets and monitor Movex and Foss input, figures, and giveaways.
10. Ensure accurate OEE recording of waste, inputs, outputs, and downtime.
11. Attend Production Meetings and raise issues for improvements.
12. Monitor performance on the line/area and report any issues or concerns to the Production Manager.
13. Maximize output of the line by maintaining line speeds at the correct standards.
14. Apply a flexible approach to working, including working on different lines and areas as required.
15. Complete routine tasks without prompting and any other duties related to this role and Production Environment.
16. Ensure a good understanding of all machines on your line, recognizing and rectifying faults.
17. Drive improvements and take accountability for your line's performance.
18. Support the need for training on the line and raise training issues with the Training Manager.
19. Identify issues using root cause analysis on Muddy Boots.
20. Manage line breaks and breakdowns, seeking support from the technical team as required.
21. Maintain a clean area and demonstrate good manufacturing practices.
22. Pay attention to detail on Live sheets - blends / weighs, ensuring accuracy.
23. Provide Technical Dept. with support to close out Nonconformances and address Customer Complaints.
24. Support with costings for new products regarding staffing needs for production on your line.
