Job Description We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Purchasing Officer to manage the procurement process for all hotel supplies, ensuring top-quality products and cost-efficiency. This role supports strategic purchasing activities and vendor management while ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee and participate in inventory stocktakes for hotel stores and outlets, ensuring accurate data and stock control. · Manage all purchase orders for food, beverage, general goods, and other required supplies. · Analyze demand, supply, and pricing trends to maintain a strong knowledge of products and achieve cost-efficient purchasing. · Adhere to and enforce the hotel’s established purchasing policies and procedures. · Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality. · Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and address any supply chain issues. · Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and analyze product categories, including seafood, fruit, and vegetables, to ensure cost competitiveness. · Support themed events and wine promotions by collaborating with hotel outlets. · Maintain up-to-date costing for all wine lists and ensure quoted prices and supplier codes are accurate within the hotel's purchasing system. · Prepare end-of-month schedules for stocktakes and generate reports for general stores and inventory analysis. · Follow up on any purchasing queries and assist with the sourcing of non-inventory and CAPEX items. Qualifications · Previous experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the hospitality industry. · Strong attention to detail, with the ability to conduct thorough inventory and supplier analysis. · Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain effective supplier relationships. · Familiarity with purchasing systems and procedures, with a focus on efficiency and cost management. · A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
