The role
As an Environmental, Health and Safety Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. We need you to help us develop and enhance our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) to enable an efficient delivery to our UK Armed Forces and allies - helping us to create a safe and secure world.
Day-to-day, you'll own and deliver the EHS strategy by working with key stakeholders including Space Managers, Security, Engineering, HR, and Business Improvement. You will also:
1. Own and deliver the EHS culture transformation within the Business Unit.
2. Work collaboratively to develop an EHS strategy for the current and long-term future of the Business Unit.
3. Lead the implementation of our EHS policy and arrangements into the day-to-day tasks and activities of the Business Unit.
4. Carry out scheduled audits to ensure best practice, compliance with legislation, and ISO14001 and ISO45001. Support and develop managers to identify and implement corrective and preventative actions in line with the EHS strategy.
Essential experience of the Environmental, Health and Safety Lead
1. You will be comfortable challenging existing ways of working to drive EHS excellence.
2. Good communicator: ability to convey EHS issues concisely and accurately.
3. Proven track record of working as an EHS Advisor.
4. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and/or CMIOSH.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
