A central Sheffield based school is looking to appoint a full-time Special Needs Teacher until December 2025.
The role will involve teaching six KS3 pupils with SEMH needs, some of whom are working at a KS2 level and below.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work full-time in a SEN school based in Sheffield, starting ASAP, to develop their practice in a supportive and caring environment.
The school is smaller with a good Ofsted rating and specializes in supporting and teaching learners who may have a diagnosis of autism, as well as some anxiety or mental health needs. This school is looking for someone to work full-time long-term, covering both primary and secondary lessons. Some lessons are pre-planned, while others will require your planning. Marking is expected, and PPA time is assigned.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional teacher who can plan and deliver outstanding and creative lessons to maximize pupil engagement. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships and create a safe and supportive learning environment that celebrates learning is essential.
The candidate will have high expectations of both themselves and the students in their care, experience working with a range of SEN pupils, including ADHD, ASC, and SEMH difficulties, and be a strong classroom teacher.
To be considered for the SEN Teacher role, you should have:
* Recognized teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (ECT).
* The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
* Strong subject knowledge of your chosen specialism.
