The Role
The purpose of the job is to fully support the objectives of the West of Scotland Laundry (WoSL) to provide a cost effective and efficient, quality linen service to the WoSL Consortium (NHS Lanarkshire, Ayrshire & Arran, Dumfries & Galloway and State Hospital)
To ensure all required items are processed and delivered “on-time” and to the highest quality standards, whilst ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff is paramount throughout.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Knowledge of laundry services and related procedures
2. Required to undertake on the job training and induction (this will generally take 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked ), to achieve full competency across a range of duties
3. Working knowledge Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks
4. Required to undertake on the job training and induction e.g. infection control in the laundry
5. Working knowledge of basic information technology
6. Effective written and verbal communication skills
7. Ability to audit
8. Ability to work with others as part of a multi disciplinary team
9. Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
10. SVQ2 in Laundry Operations or laundry workbook training
11. Experience of working in a laundry environment or similar
12. Experience using laundry equipment e.g. ironers, folders etc

This role will be based in PSSD department within West of Scotland Laundry.
The working pattern for this role: Tues-Wed 0700-1515/30, Thurs 0700-1445/30, Fri 0700-1400/30, Sun 2245-0700/30
