SEN Teaching Assistant – Driver Location : REDRUTH Contract Type : Full-time Salary : £83.33 per day Start Date : Immediate GSL Education is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a school in Redruth. This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, compassionate, and dedicated to helping children with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties thrive in an educational setting. A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this position. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs. Assist in delivering tailored learning plans to support student progress. Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence in the classroom. Support teachers in adapting resources and strategies to meet individual needs. Help manage behaviour challenges through positive reinforcement. Supervise students during breaks, lunchtime, and school activities to ensure safety. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support student development. Requirements Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable. A strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting young people. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
