1 x Perm, Full-Time position at North Acton; 1 x Fixed Term, Full-Time, 12 month position at South Kensington About the role Working at the frontline of Imperial’s Residential Services Team, the Village Assistant Supervisor plays a key role in upholding an outstanding accommodation experience for our students. Acting as a first point of contact and a dependable on-site presence, they ensure that students feel comfortable and safe in our halls of residence, and that our buildings are maintained efficiently and to a high standard. We currently have one permanent position based at our village in North Acton, and a fixed term twelve-month position based at our village in South Kensington. What you would be doing In this role, you’ll support the general management of one of our student accommodation villages, undertaking operational duties as required. This will include maintaining a presence in the offices and/or receptions in our halls of residence, acting as a first point of contact for any customer questions, concerns or feedback, and responding to these accordingly. You’ll conduct regular assessments and inventories of the condition of accommodation buildings, and work with maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure that repairs and works can be completed. You’ll also provide operational support during the Commercial Summer Lettings and Arrival/Departure periods, providing an efficient service during exceptionally busy times for the department. What we are looking for Exceptional customer service and social skills, proven by experience in a customer-focused working environment. Experience in the residential higher education or hospitality sector. The ability to work well in a team and independently. Drive, motivation and dedication to providing an excellent service, as well as a flexible attitude to work to meet business demand. Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems (e.g. Kinetic Solutions Kx) High attention to detail when working with forms, reports and other paperwork.
