The Role:
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing the costs and tender submissions across a range of workstreams including underground pipelines, utilities and minor civils works.

Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate project scope, risk and pricing strategy for all work types.
2. Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates and submission documents in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision.
3. Produce estimates from first principles using RIB CCS Candy iTWO software and company master libraries.
4. Produce draft design, estimate and prepare complete proposals to Doocey and customer expectations; all work types.
5. Create and maintain correct and accurate quantities and thorough take-offs from plans.
6. Produce draft design sketches using PDF Xchange Editor for design and build projects where no design is available.
7. Carry out diligent and thorough self-review prior to peer review and approval requests.
8. Actively stay abreast and informed of industry matters and technical bulletins.
9. Prepare sign off and commercial documents for peer review and approval with the Head of Estimating/Directors.
10. Prepare reports as requested and line with requirements at regular intervals to be specified by the business.
11. Liaise and support the business development function in all work-winning activities.
12. Attend and contribute to team meetings as required.
13. Attend client facing meetings to provide technical advice and support as required.
14. Support the estimating coordinator on the handling, processing and preparation of tender and pricing documents.
15. Arrange and lead tender meetings with operations to produce construction programme as part of the tendering process as required.
16. Arrange and lead estimating handover meetings, prepare handover documents sharing all relevant project information necessary for operations to take ownership and begin project delivery.
17. Liaise with operations to establish scope of works and prepare variation costs as required providing support throughout the project lifecycle.
18. Liaise with construction and operations team to inform technical and operational aspects of a tender as required.
19. Work to achieve business unit and group targets.
20. Provide training support to estimating trainees and implement/manage training plans.
21. Continually improve, develop systems and capabilities within the department.
22. Collaborate with the wider business to share information and drive success.
