Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN. Assist in delivering tailored learning strategies to meet individual needs. Encourage students' confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans. Assist with managing behaviour and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment. Support students with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills. Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant (TA): Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training is preferred. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. A current CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one). Understanding of various SEN conditions.
