We are seeking a passionate and driven Theatre Practitioner to be part of our dedicated team, working full-time on a permanent basis. You will have the chance to shape your career while providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a flexible and varied inpatient theatre environment.
As a Theatre Practitioner you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality patient focused care, providing and maintaining a safe environment for all patients attending theatres and coordinating and facilitating inpatient care with minimal supervision, acting as a role model, and working with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.

1. Working as part of the clinical team providing direct patient care, primarily as an assistant to the anaesthetist.
2. Plan, implement, deliver and evaluate care given by self and other team members to patients and their relatives.
3. Assist in emergency situations and initiate emergency procedures in line with policy.
4. Act as the patients’ advocate.
5. Liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
6. Be clinically competent in all areas of practice relevant to the post.
7. Take direct responsibility for ensuring cleaning standards are maintained throughout the shift.
8. Ensure that Privacy and Dignity of patients is maintained at all times.
9. Collect patients from the wards and escort to theatre.
10. Maintain accurate clinical records.
11. Work flexibly across the theatres as required.
12. Ensure that all quality initiatives within the theatres environment are adhered to and that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
13. Supervise junior colleagues.
14. Deliver training for 1:1 induction and ongoing training for new and temporary staff, mentorship for students and preceptorship for newly qualified staff.
15. You will be required to manage conflicting priorities and may be required to switch tasks with little notice.
