Petroineos comprises trading and refining joint ventures between PetroChina International (London) Company Limited and INEOS. Established in 2011, Petroineos is one of Europe’s leading International Integrated Energy Trading Companies. In addition to third-party trading, Petroineos' key functions include the supply of Crude Oil to Petroineos and PetroChina refineries and the arrangement of the sale and distribution of the various products that are produced from the refineries. Products traded by Petroineos include both Crude and Refined Oil Products. The Petrochemicals Operator will play a key role in the day-to-day trading operations of the business, with a key focus on the following areas: Responsibilities Co-ordinating operations from trade inception to completion relating to products Ensure accurate and timely processing of trades, including confirmations, settlements and allocations Coordinate scheduling shipments, arranging transportation and managing storage facilities Prepare and maintain accurate trade documentation, including contracts, invoices, and shipping documents Check all calculations relating to the trade (freight, demurrage, product, inspectors, cargo superintendents, gains/losses, insurance and additives) Communicate with suppliers, customers, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth and efficient operations Maintain regular communication with various internal parties such as trading, risk and trade finance teams to ensure smooth process Work independently in handling varied and complex operational issues Accurately update trading system in a timely fashion. Maintain accurate records of each cargo including prompt and accurate filing Minimise profit leakage Make or assist in claims where necessary Requires frequent afterhours and weekend work to complete operational tasks Maintain excellent HSE standards Adhere to company policies and procedures Ensure compliance with all operational processes Person Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred Commercial Experience – 3 years commercial experience in operations, logistics, international trading or a similar role relating to the petrochemical sector (including liquid and solid products) is desired Experience in a large trading organisation is an advantage Understanding of global shipping and relevant documentation (L/C), as well as a professional history of working closely with an oil or petrochemical trading team.
