JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Sea Operations, the Production Manager, Sea is responsible for leading the production and project management of RWS produced onboard entertainment products for our cruise line clients; ensuring each group holds the original artistic intention and integrity of each entertainment product. This position is also responsible for upholding the RWS and client brand standards and supporting the continued innovation and operational efficiency of client rehearsal operations.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Program specific correspondence/logistics – with assistance from Company Manager
2. Budget holder for designated programs within Sea. Liaising with Director, Sea Operations and/or Delivery Manager, Sea.
3. Performer schedule and detail email (first email after Company Manager's welcome/onboarding)
4. Leadership role correspondence and coordination of Talent interviews in rehearsals
5. Creating Production Calendars and Rehearsal Schedules
6. Changeover correspondence and logistics
7. Install correspondence and logistics if needed with vessel
8. Leadership role/cabin allocation with the ship - (Entertainment advisory sent to vessels)
9. Wardrobe transport logistics & correspondence to/From ship
10. Rehearsal survey correspondence and tagging/summary
11. Communicating with vessel on reblock breakdowns, with the support of Rehearsal Director
12. Wardrobe fitting scheduling and logistics, inclusive of shoes
13. Ensuring cast allocations are shared with wardrobe
14. Welcome/Onboarding/Travel meeting scheduling and leading (Delivery Manager & Company Manager can step in to run meetings, as needed)
15. Budget Holder for Changeover/Installs
16. Ensuring Rehearsal Studio is prepped and ready for Day 1 – Props, Tape out, etc
17. Production Bible Creation, in coordination with full Production Team
18. Tagging and actioning rehearsal reports
19. Tagging and actioning voyage reports
20. Ongoing Dropbox and Wrike cleanup support as needed for both Production & Resident Direction
21. Travel to ships as necessary for site visits, installs, etc.
22. Directing/Coordinating team members needed for Load In/Load Out of Studio for Day 1 and Last Day
23. Communication with all Production Team Members and manufacturers throughout design & build process
24. Managing timelines for new projects and cast changes - keeping Wrike projects up to date
25. Payment schedules for all production elements
26. Requesting and providing PO numbers for all freelance creatives & suppliers
27. Preparing the cast deck for the onboard digital screens
28. Arranging cast headshots
29. Working with Sr Manager, Studio Operations on Scheduling in Primary Calendar
30. Show materials management in coordination with outside designers/creatives
31. Weekly procurement/invoicing/active project update meetings
32. Ordering stock Light Entertainment (props/equipment etc)
33. Research & procurement of bespoke and off the shelf stage props for new creative
34. All cast additions - uniforms/hairpieces/headshots/mic belts/make up etc
35. Costing and providing sales quotes for clients for props/costumes/rehearsal hire/etc
36. Ordering rehearsal props and costume organisation at RWS UK Studios
37. Assisting with Onboarding of Show Supervisors
38. Assisting with any rehearsal needs
39. Assisting with Replacement Talent Needs
40. Assisting with Contract Requests when needed
41. Assisting with population of Billbacks
Qualifications & Skills:
1. A degree/certification in Theatrical Production, Musical Production, or equivalent professional experience
2. 3+ years of experience in the entertainment industry working in theatre, performance venues, or live entertainment settings (ideally with specific experience on cruise ships)
3. A minimum of 2 years in a management position, preferably within an entertainment setting
4. Advanced written and verbal communication skills
5. Must be proficient in Excel and MS Office applications
6. A flexible schedule allowing for approximately 35% international travel
