Job Overview
Are you a motivated and dynamic leader with a passion for driving growth, maintaining high team morale, and delivering exceptional results? We’re looking for a Shop Floor Manager to join our team and lead our staff to success while upholding our family values and vision for the future.
Responsibilities
1. Foster High Morale: Inspire and maintain a positive work environment where employees feel motivated and engaged.
2. Staff Training & Development: Deliver ongoing training and coaching to help your team reach their full potential.
3. Performance Management: Lead your team to consistently hit performance targets and exceed business objectives.
4. Monitor shop performance metrics: Monitor shop performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
5. Maintain an organised inventory system and recycling: Ensure stock levels such as consumables and spare parts are adequate and well-managed.
6. Continual Audit review: For ISO 9001, ensure all procedures are adhered to including logging material for recycling, materials stock, and mould storage.
7. Quality Monitoring: Ensure all work outputs and products meet the highest quality standards through regular reviews.
8. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the point of contact between workshop employees and upper management.
9. In-Touch production monitoring software: Utilise our ‘In-Touch’ system efficiently to manage job scheduling and internal communication.
10. Shift & Staff Management and agency staff recruitment: Work closely with the Ops Manager to implement the production plan, complete administrative tasks, and oversee shift patterns and workforce planning to support business growth and operational needs.
11. Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
12. Vision & Values: Champion our company’s values and work towards achieving our long-term vision for future business growth.
Skills
1. Proven leadership and management experience, ideally in operations or a similar role.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders.
3. A results-driven approach with a focus on hitting performance targets.
4. Experience in managing staff, training, and fostering a positive work culture.
5. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in monitoring quality and managing shifts.
6. Proficient in using management tools like ‘In-Touch’ or similar CRM systems.
7. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the company’s core values.
8. Highly organised with exceptional time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently.
9. Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and guide a diverse team.
10. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
