Job Summary:
Raymarine UK Ltd are looking for an experienced Principle Embedded Software Development Engineer to work in our Fareham office, working on a variety of products, both for our new products and maintenance of our current line.
This role requires the candidate to have a proven, strong track record of delivering software to meet the needs of customers and working together within a team to guide the engineering contributors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Be a point of contact within a team of engineers for technical guidance.
2. Developing embedded Software as part of a multi-discipline engineering team
3. Disseminating the direction of project architecture, upholding coding standards and implementing quality improvements.
4. Distilling project deliverables into work packages
5. Working in an Agile team structure
To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have:
6. Ideally degree level engineering qualification alongside significant technical experience
7. Experience with C/C++ for embedded real-time systems.
8. Worked in Agile teams
9. Designed for Real Time Operating Systems
10. Driver configuration and creation.
11. Used a variety of embedded platforms such as; bare metal, STM32, NVIDIA etc…
12. Linux Kernel building/modifying
13. Prototyping - Logic probe analysis and Board Bringup
14. Debugging skills with knowledge of GDB/LLDB, JTAG and ICE
15. Experience with OpenGL and GLSL/Vulcan
It would be advantageous if you have experience with any of the following:
16. Maritime industry
17. Docker configuration
18. RADAR
19. DSP Algorithm knowledge
20. SONAR
21. Camera/Video streaming
22. BASH
23. Experience in other languages such as Rust/Python
