About The Role
Archaeology Warwickshire need an archaeological project officer. We have been providing commercial archaeology and heritage services since the 1980s and we are proud of our focus on a healthy work-life balance. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic archaeologist to join us to deliver an exciting range of commercial projects. We want someone who can take a project from inception to publication and who is unafraid of asking for advice and who will use initiative to problem solve. Our archaeological project officers support junior staff, are helpful and proactive mentors and will champion their teams’ well-being on site.

Key Requirements
* Proven experience in working collaboratively, DBA writing; overseeing the safe removal and storage of overburden; developing strategies to excavate a wide variety of site types, periods and geologies in accordance with an approved WSI; understanding of context formation processes, stratigraphy and matrix compilation; clear and concise report writing and a fundamental interest in discussive synthesis.
* Degree or post-graduate qualification in archaeology or related discipline.
* Experience of working on a wide range of archaeological projects and site types.
* A working knowledge of GPS and GIS (and possibly even total stations and photogrammetry).
* A current UK driving licence and unequivocal willingness and competency to drive for business needs (including driving our vehicles).
* Membership (ACI f A or MCI f A) of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists or commitment to join.
* A health and safety qualification or commitment to train for one.
