Bookkeeper Job Summary
Love Russia seeks a detail-oriented and skilled Bookkeeper motivated by their Christian faith to join its mission-driven team. Based in Nottingham, this part-time hybrid role supports the charity’s impactful work in alleviating poverty in Russia by managing its day-to-day financial operations.
Person Specification:
* Motivated by a Christian faith and a heart for service.
* Strong bookkeeping skills with proficiency in a financial software.
* Proven ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively in a small team environment.
* Committed to the charity’s mission and values and willing to pitch in where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and Infoodle, process donations, and send thank-you emails in line with donor communication policies.
* Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements, including preparing financial reports and assisting with end-of-year audits and Gift Aid submissions.
* Support monthly budget monitoring to prevent overspending.
* Occasionally conduct research for fundraising and media purposes.
Requirements:
Candidates should have strong financial skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to confidentiality. Ideally, they would have experience with using financial software. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, a heart for service, and alignment with the charity’s mission and Christian values.
This 22.5-hour-per-week role offers semi-flexible working hours, a salary of £23,809.50–£27,000 pro rata, and opportunities for professional development.
