Your role will be toprovide this service to support people infected and affected family members including those bereaved within the North-East region and liaise with your counterparts across the country. The Regional Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre is based in NUTH. The navigator involves psychological triage, assessment, signposting and providing psychosocial interventions to beneficiaries of the Infected Blood Psychological Service (IBPS) who access the service. The post holder will also develop outreach programmes and support the overall development of the newly founded service. The post holder will be essential in delivering a multi- disciplinary approach to supporting the beneficiaries of the service, and the HCCC. The navigator element of the service will be provided on a large geographical area. The role will involve working with other IBPS staff and staff working into Haematology and other associated areas and will involve close working with the IBPS providers across the North-East region. As a member of the department, you would be part of a substantial, experienced, and enthusiastic team; benefitting from inhouse professional development including clinical supervision, special interest groups and opportunities to engage in our wider projects. This post is based within the Infected Blood Psychological Service (IBPS). The service provides multidisciplinary care for those infected and affected by the contaminated blood productsa) conducting outreach and psychosocial assessments andb) providing psychological therapies by a team of psychological professionals. The post holder will lead on the development of the provision of a high-quality navigation/care support service, which includes psychosocial assessments and interventions to beneficiaries of the Infected Blood Psychological Service (IBPS). The post holder will also develop outreach programmes and support the overall development of the newly founded service. The post holder will be essential in delivering a multi- disciplinary approach to supporting the beneficiaries of the service, and the HCCC.The navigator element of the service will be provided on a large geographical area (regional footprint).
