This is a permanent, full time position.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday short shifts.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team the post holder will provide care to patients in support of the trained midwife and will regularly work unsupervised.
1. Provide practical support to the unit adhering to standards set at local level
2. Competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group.
3. Ensure the effective delivery of midwifery care is provided to patients and that an acceptable standard is maintained
4. Provide, through NHSGG&C policies, a safe environment for the treatment of patients and protection of staff
5. Participate in Practice Development Programmes as required
