Harrington Starr is seeking a Security Architect to join one of our key banking clients in a newly created role. The company is undergoing significant growth and transformation in their cyber security roadmap.
The role is based in London (city).
Some of the key activities will include:
* Developing and maintaining secure frameworks.
* Designing and implementing secure solutions to protect systems and data.
* Working with the wider enterprise architecture and engineering teams to embed security controls into projects.
* Providing guidance to the business on cyber security and risk management best practices.
* Conducting regular threat analyses and assessing infrastructure for vulnerabilities.
* Leading security projects to ensure effective implementation into the business.
* Staying abreast of all cyber industry trends and attacker techniques to help protect the business.
In order to be suitable, you will need:
* A strong technical cyber security background with at least five years as a Security Architect within the financial services sector.
* Strong knowledge of cyber security resilience frameworks including ISO27001, NIST, and DORA.
* Strong understanding of defensive security, attack methodologies, network security, and cloud security.
* Proficiency in using SIEM tools, specifically Splunk, IDS/IPS, Next Gen firewalls, and security protocols including SSL, HTTPS, SSH, PGP, PKI, and/or Kerberos.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and communication skills (written and verbal).
* Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM) highly desirable.
