KS1 Science and Computing Lead Teacher Responsibilities Lead, inspire, and support the KS1 team, promoting high standards of teaching and learning in KS1. Develop and implement creative and effective lesson plans for KS1 students that engage and challenge. Oversee the delivery of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students in KS1. Monitor and assess student progress in KS1, providing targeted feedback and interventions to support achievement. Develop and lead staff training and professional development opportunities within KS1, focusing on Science and Computing. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment in KS1 that promotes high expectations and a love of learning. Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress in KS1 and addressing any concerns. Contribute to whole-school initiatives and collaborate with other leadership team members to drive school improvement across KS1. KS1 Science and Computing Lead Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Significant experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in KS1. Experience in a leadership role or with leading teams is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods for KS1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others in a KS1 setting.
