We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to join a welcoming school in the Burnham area. The school believes in creating a warm and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, supported, and part of a close-knit community As a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with SEN, you will be key in helping children with additional learning needs, both within the classroom environment and through participation in extracurricular activities. You will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to each pupil, helping them engage with their learning in a way that suits their individual needs. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs during lessons and extracurricular activities ✏️ Assist with adapting lesson content and resources to meet individual learning requirements ️ Encourage the development of social, emotional, and communication skills to promote positive outcomes Monitor and track students' progress and actively participate in assessment and feedback processes Collaborate with the SEN team to create and implement individualised learning plans Support students’ personal development and well-being, fostering independence and confidence in all aspects of school life Requirements Experience working with children with SEN A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team A flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to the needs of the students Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
