Role: Project Estimator / Surveyor

We have the exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Team in a new role to the business as we seek an experienced Project Estimator / Project Surveyor with a permanent vacancy on a full-time basis, available at our Fakenham workshop.

We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, and detail-oriented Estimator / Surveyor, reporting to the Commercial Manager and collaborating closely with the project teams, playing a pivotal role in commercial management of projects. The ideal candidate works well within a team as well as independently, with the ability to adapt effectively to changing project and team needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
Projects:
•Managing the variation process, including pricing, publishing, external communication & follow ups.
•Become the main commercial contact for our internal team and the client's team on projects.
•Management of financial documents, including Valuations & invoicing.
•Pricing additional areas on live projects.
•Track, publish and log all Site Dayworks sheets.
•Maintain and adjust financial documents as requested by Project Team.
•Assembling Financial documents and contract information in conjunction with the project estimator.
•Attend Project Handovers to gain in-depth knowledge of the project going forward.
•Attending first initial Design Meetings to understand the project and build a repour with Client Team.
•Assist the Project Managers with any queries regarding scope or budgets.
•Develop and foster relationships with key Cabinet Makers to assist in estimating hours.
•Accurately tracking and inputting Carpentry, Finishing, Site installation hours and all materials required for the project.
The ideal candidates experience:
•3–5 years in a relevant field, ideally within Bespoke Joinery, or construction sectors.
•Excellent numeracy skills and IT skills with competencies in Microsoft Word and Excel.
•Strong understanding of commercial processes in project-based environments.
•Has a practical, logical, and methodical approach to thinking and problem-solving.
