Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager and Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high quality services to our members. This is a challenging and demanding role offering an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic customer-focused team, dedicated to making a real difference to the community!
This post is suited to an individual seeking experience in a finance department and wanting to progress a career in Accountancy. Candidates will be supported with time and funding to study towards a recognised Chartered Accountancy qualification, along with mentoring from more senior qualified accountants in the team.
You will be responsible for:
* Assisting the Finance manager with producing management accounts and budgets
* Posting of invoices
* Bank reconciliations
* Maintaining Sage accounts and internal controls
* Liaising between various departments and working with our customers
* Co-ordinating the purchase ledger and rent accounting systems
* Preparing payments
* Posting journals and general office duties
* Including ICT support and administration
Essential qualities include:
* Must have a 2:1 or above in Accountancy / Maths / Economics / Business
* Proficient spreadsheet and ICT skills
* Strong numeracy, literacy and accuracy skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Commitment to high standards of service delivery
* A professional approach and can-do attitude
