The role
Are you a highly skilled Electronic Test & Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing testing procedures, equipment, and methodologies to ensure products meet quality standards and performance specifications
Based from our CoE at Hemel Hempstead, you'll need to be in the office at least 3 days a week.
Please note, we can only consider UK based applicants that hold Settled Status or a British Passport, as we need to put you through SC level clearance.
As Electronic Test & Development Engineer, you will be a key player in supporting the development of high-quality, in-demand products sold into regulated environments. You will assist design engineers, support the build and test of concept designs, and ensure successful project delivery across multiple projects.
Essential:
* Experience in test development for complex systems, preferably within detection, aerospace, or similar industries.
* Familiarity with testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and automated test equipment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fault Finding & Diagnostics: Demonstrate your 5+ years of fault-finding experience at the component level in the development and testing of cutting-edge electronic products.
* Product Development: Support the full product lifecycle, from new product development to updates and retirement.
* Testing & Verification: Conduct verification tests to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to drive project success.
* Documentation & Support: Develop test procedures, document results, and support technical product design throughout its life cycle.
* Continuous Improvement: Optimize design concepts for cost-effectiveness and apply lean principles to improve processes.
Education:
HNC/ONC Qualification or Equivalent: A solid educational background in electronics.
