The Role We are looking for an Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach on a casual basis to deliver and develop our AWFC physical curriculum and lead athletic development across the Academy. Your day-to-day Bridge the physical gap by delivering our long-term athletic development (LTAD) model to an exceptional standard Lead and oversee the Academy strength and conditioning programmes with the support of the performance lead Assist and support the Arsenal Women’s fitness profiling and ensure that it is age-specific, comprehensive and meets FA requirements Create and implement an individual development approach for each player, with regular touch points to review the previous block and constantly development our athletes as well as developing the team. With the support of the medical lead Develop athletic development profiles of athletes, to continue and review the competency of athletes to constantly improve their individual development Attend and contribute to reviews and provide regular reports at timely intervals to key stakeholders to support the development of the Women’s programme Support the physical development strategy and improve athletic performance throughout the Women’s Academy in line with First Team requirements Create and implement athletic development strategies in collaboration with MDT staff to optimise the squad’s ability to perform throughout the season What we are looking for Degree level (or equivalent) in sports science or strength and conditioning Qualification in Strength and Conditioning e.g. UKSCA, NCSA, CSCS Experience in the provision of strength and conditioning services Excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful, strong strategic relationships with Club staff and players Experience working with and preparing elite players for competition Ability to demonstrate good session planning and strong organisational skills Willingness to work weekends and be flexible with fluctuations in scheduling Ability to travel independently Knowledge and experience of FA girls’ talent Pathway & WSL Academy structure Experience of working within Women’s football (desirable) BASES Accreditation FA Level 2 Coaching (or international equivalent Please note: This casual role requires a clear criminal record check, so the successful candidate will be required to complete a self-declaration and an enhanced DBS check.
