Consultant: Senior Project Manager
Urgent requirement for a Senior Project Manager with Claims Centre Migration experience to join a leading insurance company.
Length: 6 months
IR35 Status: Inside
Responsibilities:
* Develop the project scope and business objectives
* Evaluate and select the project's delivery approach (e.g. agile, waterfall, and hybrid) depending on the solution, technology, and scale required
* Develop the business case, project documentation, and project plans
* Develop schedules and work packages for the technology project delivery team
* Plan and control projects, produce and update project plans, scope, and budget, including detailed resource and activity plans to deliver the agreed projects to specification, within time and budget, and to the agreed level of quality
* Manage project finance and budgets (forecasts, actual vs planned, etc.)
* Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests
* Ensure quality assurance mechanisms are in place so that products/deliverables follow agreed requirements
* Ensure that technology solution requirements are defined following agreed standards, architectures, and governance
* Support benefits realization and achievement of target outcomes
* Manage 3rd party suppliers and resources following agreed ways of working, contracts, and SLAs
* Establish proactive, comprehensive stakeholder management and communications
* Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery
Key Skills:
* Significant project management experience in delivering large, complex projects - budgets of £10 million upwards and project lengths of 12 months and longer
* Understanding and experience within the insurance industry, or similar financial services
* Experience managing 3rd party partnerships
* Preferred experience in Claims Centre Migrations and Commercial Insurance
