Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer
QHSE Engineer required to work in a manufacturing company in Loudwater (High Wycombe)
Duties
Support the QHSE Manager with embedding a culture of continual evaluation and improvement within the manufacturing facility by reporting on and achieving business objectives.
Identify and report areas of non-conformance and non-compliance and areas requiring improvement within the business.
Promote and drive forward preventive and corrective action measures within the business.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned programmes.
Ensure that the QHSE Audit programme is adhered to and that any audit reports are produced in a timely manner, to the highest standard as well as progressing supporting metrics/reports with minimum oversight.
Undertake internal and supplier system audits and act as a guide in third-party certification process and customer product audits, including analysis of findings, suggestions for improvement and progression of any non-conformances identified.
Progress non-conformances, identify root cause, corrective actions and preventive actions using recognised best practice tools to timely closure.
Provide quality assurance, safety hazard elimination and environmental risk management through the implementation, improvement and maintenance of QHSE policies, processes, procedures and systems to deliver QHSE management system assurance.
On assigned contracts:
Produce and maintain QHSE Lead Project Management Pack (i.e. contract start-up and delivery documentation and records).
Ensure customer QHSE requirements are fully understood and are met within given contracts.
Undertake product and process reviews to aid the prediction and prevention of quality defects.
Generate and maintain contract quality plans.
Identify product configuration control management to ensure traceability.
Maintain contract improvement Lessons Learnt records.
Perform supplier acceptance, witnessing testing support and product release audits.
Ensure Supplier/Subcontractor quality management, including approval, flow-down of requirements, monitoring and corrective action management.
Candidates must have previous experience and good working knowledge of current Health and Safety requirements, legislation, and regulations. Plus good knowledge and experience of ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 Standards.
Desirable experience/knowledge includes: Knowledge of APQP/PPAP processes; and any familiarity with relevant electrical/mechanical standards (e.g. IPC610 / 620
