Paediatric Complex Care Nurse
Salary: £30 - £35/hour
Location: Hartlepool
Work hours: Full time, Part time
Hours of work are flexible; however, the package requires 7:30pm - 7:30am, waking nights, seven days a week.
You will need to work day shifts until you know the child's routine. This can vary from 5am - 1pm / 1pm - 7pm.

About the role
As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for providing dedicated complex clinical care to a 3-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, dystonia, respiratory difficulties, and gastrostomy feeding. We are looking for a team of dedicated, experienced nurses, ideally with intensive care or high dependency experience, to provide excellent clinical decision-making, respiratory and gastrostomy care during the night.
Whilst on shift, you will need to deliver a variety of care interventions including chest physiotherapy, re-positioning, suctioning oral and deep, oxygen saturation monitoring, vital observations, gastrostomy feeding, medication provision, and quick clinical assessment and decision-making during changes in health.
You will provide vital care to this little girl and give her family a good night's sleep, with peace of mind!
To be successful, you must foster a positive and engaging environment through active participation and build a strong and trusting relationship with the client and family.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 6 months UK-based nursing experience - ideally with clinical decision-making and respiratory care experience working with children.
* Ability to complete the physical aspects of the role such as moving and handling carrying a child.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills.
* Registered Nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Council.
* Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere.
* Be able to attend Mandatory trainings in Leeds.
