We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker to our supportive and dedicated team.
April Court is a 17 bedroomed residential home that is dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities. It is situated in the Kinson area which is around 5 miles away from Bournemouth town centre. The team at April Court are proactive in ensuring the residents are supported to maintain their individuality.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting our clients to lead fulfilling lives through a person-centred approach.
* Providing high-quality care and support, centred around each client’s needs.
* Ensuring that individual care plans are developed, implemented and monitored.
* Coordinating and leading support staff in the provision of personal care including manual handling.
* Working to required standards to comply with CQC guidelines.
* The ability to work flexibly including alternate weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.
The successful candidate should have:
* Experience of working with Adults with learning disabilities.
* Knowledge of relevant Community Care and Safeguarding legislation.
* Knowledge of administration of medicines and NICE guidance.
* Effective communication skills.
* Competent IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care or a willingness to achieve this.
* Full driving licence and use of a vehicle is desirable.
Part-time – 13.5 hours per week
