The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
Head of Asset Management and Investment
Salary: up to £100,000 (review due 1 April 2025)
Location: London
Kensington and Chelsea is a borough with high ambitions. We know our homes, we understand their condition, therefore we know the work that is needed, and we have a plan to deliver this. To achieve our ambitions, we are resetting the way we manage our homes; with robust, data-led strategies that ensure investment is focused where it’s most needed. With a renewed structure, a clear focus, and a commitment to residents, now is the time to take asset management to the next level.
We are seeking a Head of Asset Management and Investment to lead a newly restructured team. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director, Property Services, you will create and deliver strategies with our residents and communities that drive investment, optimise our asset performance, and support the sustainability of our housing and infrastructure. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact through effective leadership, resident-focused delivery, and forward-thinking innovation.
Your work will encompass three essential areas:
1. Procurement will benefit from your ability to collaborate and drive forward-looking strategies with an engaged and proactive team.
2. In asset strategy, your leadership will guide the development of your team, nurturing talent and embedding a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence.
3. Asset intelligence and data will thrive under your strategic oversight, ensuring systems are optimised, data accuracy is prioritised, and decisions are driven by insight and innovation.
To succeed, you’ll need a combination of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership. You will bring experience from a mix of backgrounds, whether private, consultancy, or regulated environments. A strong understanding of asset data accuracy and its practical applications is essential. You’ll be curious, collaborative, and comfortable working with residents, shaping initiatives through co-design and partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of asset management in one of London’s most unique boroughs. We are seeking a leader who can bring the right balance of authority, curiosity, and compassion. If you lead with purpose, inspire confidence, and drive meaningful change, we welcome your application.
