Salary up to £36,000 dependent on experience\n\nROLE PURPOSE\n\nThe Technical Trainer – Agriculture & Turf, is responsible for all day-to-day aspects of the delivery and assessment of training to groups of commercial delegates as well as learners enrolled in the John Deere Apprenticeship Program.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nDeliver and manage all components of delegate progress – marking work, providing feedback, identifying and reporting concerns to your line manager (the Centre Manager) and working with your wider team to ensure that all support requirements for delegates are met.\n\nArrange and conduct skills assessments, update training courses and maintain records for all delegates.\n\nMaintenance and development of training aids, workshop facilities and resources\n\nPromote efficient use of resources with particular emphasis on reducing the detrimental effects of such resource use on the environment\n\nPromote a safe working environment in accordance with current legislation\n\nEnsure all documentation is completed fully, following all guidelines in accordance with company policy\n\nContribute to process of continual improvement\n\nParticipate fully in the quality assurance activities of the approved centre, including internal and external quality assurance/audits\n\nActively promote Equality and Diversity in accordance with the policy to ensure compliance and that no individual is discriminated against\n\nActively support company policy and best practice in security, with particular emphasis on protection of customer sensitive information (GDPR legislation)\n\nKeep up to date with technical and academic knowledge\n\nReport any driving endorsements or points added to your driving licence\n\nMaintain personal CPD by attending/completing all training as required\n\nMaintain personal CPD logs and upload as prescribed\n\nBe committed to safeguarding and promote the welfare of all delegates and staff\n\nCandidates should have:\n\nA sound technical background in agricultural and/or turf products and systems such as engines, electronics and hydraulics together with a qualification in engineering,\n\npreferably to a degree standard\n\nKnowledge of the learning and development process, including areas such as instructional and presentational skills, needs assessment, adult learning theory and\n\ncurriculum development.\n\nPrevious experience in developing and delivering training\n\n1-3 years of field experience with regular customer contact and broad product knowledge\n\nKnowledge of the dealer/distribution network. Experience of working with dealers would be an advantage\n\nA good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/365 The Successful candidate will:\n\nHave a good command of written and spoken English\n\nHave a good work ethic\n\nHave the ability to manage time and resources to achieve business goals\n\nBe confident, competent and self-motivated.\n\nBe able to deliver sustainable results\n\nEssential qualifications\n\nAppropriate occupational qualification and level of occupational competence\n\nFull Driving License holder Desirable qualifications\n\nTeaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or NVQ equivalent)\n\nA-units or equivalent\n\nRelevant Health & Safety Qualification\n\nFirst Aid at Work Qualification\n\nSafeguarding course\n\nPaul Feldman is the National Skills Agency Data Protection Officer.
