Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Leaving Care/Personal Advisor for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will provide essential support and guidance to young people transitioning from care to independence.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
Manage a caseload of young people, developing and reviewing Pathway Plans to support their journey to independence.
Conduct timely Pathway Assessments in collaboration with young people, carers, and social workers.
Participate in office duty arrangements and provide emergency cover as needed.
Offer guidance on accommodation, education, training, and employment, and facilitate access to necessary services.
Engage with external agencies to ensure holistic support for young people, promoting their involvement in service design.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
Experience working directly with children in care and care leavers, both individually and in group settings.
Experience of undertaking high-quality and analytical Pathway Assessments, Human Rights Assessments, and Personal Educational Plans for looked-after children and young people.
Experience working with young people who have faced social exclusion within a multicultural, inner-city environment.
Experience in supporting young people through their transition to independence.
What's on offer:
Salary: £19+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
