Quantity Surveyor - 53k - 57k
Due to continued growth and success, our client is currently looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their team. They are well established within the Building & Civils sectors and have a proven track record of delivering quantity surveying and commercial management services across this industry.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to become part of a growing business and play a key role in helping shape company strategy and direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing commercial functions for multiple and often complex projects.
* Preparing tender and contract documents.
* Liaising with clients, Tier 1 & 2 contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project budgets are maintained and variations are managed effectively.
* Identifying potential financial risks and opportunities to maximise profitability.
* Preparing and presenting cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts to senior management.
* Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and project timelines.
* Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating favourable terms.
* Producing monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts, and cash-flow information and presenting them clearly and concisely to directors.
* Advising on and helping lead the commercial strategy in project discussions/reviews.
* Ensuring all managers and key interface areas within the business are fully briefed and have the level of support to monitor and react to budget variances.
* Building and maintaining relationships with the client and supply chain.
* Ensuring commercial, administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are in place and operated correctly across all contract operations.
The successful candidate will maintain the highest professional standards, have knowledge and experience in managing both internal and external stakeholders, experience with NEC and JCT contracts, be confident in presenting to clients, possess excellent negotiation skills, be educated to degree level, and hold RICS accreditation. CEMAR knowledge is essential.
