An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dispenser to join Beacon Medical group, based at our Wotter Branch dispensary.
The Role is 16 hours per week on a Monday and Thursday. Monday & Thursday will be 8am - 4.30pm 6.5hrs each day are core open hours 8am-3pm with 1.5 hours Audit and ordering work lone working on site.
This successful applicant must hold a relevant dispensing qualification to NVQ2 or equivalent level. The suitable candidate must also be driven and able to work on their own. The role is to dispense medication safely to all our Wotter based patients, ensure that drugs and medicines are prepared efficiently and safely. Alongside this, the candidate will provide assistance to the practice pharmacy team conducting clinical audits and support with medication related projects.
The role also works to ensure good stock control with sensible ordering with a twice a year stock take. The role works alongside the wider practice to ensure personally administered items are stocked to a suitable level.

Person Specification
Experience
* Dealing with the public. Ability to provide health advice or when required medication advice for common ailments.
* Handling Stock and making adequate controls
* Ability to provide guidance on administration of medication to patients.
* Being able to raise significant events to the Practice Pharmacist.
* Be able to work with limited supervision.
* Ability to prioritise workload.
* Used to working in a busy environment.
* Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Experience of working in a customer service environment
* Understanding of databases, coding and extraction of data for reporting purposes
* Experience of monitoring stock levels, usage tracking and re-ordering systems
* Understanding of prescription claim process
* Previous experience working in a GP practice.
* Good working knowledge and experience of using SystmOne
* Previous experience of updating SOPs and conducting Dispensing Reviews of Use of Medications with the public
* Previous experience of data entry/coding
