Job responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated Infection Prevention and Control Support Worker to join our Infection Prevention and Control team. After the initial period of training has been completed, you will be autonomously FIT testing the Trust staff that are required to wear FFP3 respirators. You will also be completing Infection Prevention and Control audits across all Trust sites.
The successful applicant must demonstrate that they can work successfully autonomously, after initial training, and also within this dynamic and successful IPAC Team. A team that strives to effectively communicate, educate and advise Trust staff.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good level of general education to include GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent.
* Qualitative RPE fit tester training, or willingness to undertake in post.
* Up-to-date mandatory and statutory training portfolio.
Experience
* Proven relevant experience of undertaking practical tasks in accordance with written procedures.
* Willingness to be flexible in their approach to tasks, with a view to supporting a broad range of H&S related tasks when directed.
* Efficient IT skills and be experienced and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Prior experience of fit testing.
* Prior experience of working in a healthcare setting.

* Able to work with minimum supervision, prioritising and managing own workload during FIT testing sessions.
