A welcoming primary school in Maidenhead, Berkshire, is looking for a graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or experienced teaching assistants to build practical experience in education before pursuing teacher training. A candidate with a 2:1 degree or higher would be ideal, though any graduate with experience working with children will be considered. Relevant experience might include tutoring, nursery work, childcare, coaching, or classroom assistance. Conveniently located near Bracknell station, the school also offers on-site parking. In the second year, there may be an option to begin teacher training to earn Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
For those with previous experience in Special Educational Needs, this role may also involve working one-on-one with a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school is seeking dedicated, motivated graduates who are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on students' learning journeys. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll support students in literacy and numeracy across Key Stages 1 and 2.
Position Details:
Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bracknell
Pay: £83 - £95 per day (based on experience, training, and qualifications)
Contract: Long-term temporary with the potential for a permanent position
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Experience: Preferred but not required
