Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader in the Outpatients Booking Team.
The post holder will have the ability to work in a faced paced environment and demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities. You will need to be highly motivated, with a strong work ethic to deliver to tight deadlines. You will have a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on supporting your team, service users and Operational Mangers.
You must have the ability to aspire and support your team and promote change in a positive effective manner. You will be essential in escalating capacity and monitoring performance.
Hours per week:
Main duties of the job
1. To support the Outpatient Management Team in delivering a consistent and co-ordinated approach to the operational management of outpatient services across the organisation.
2. To ensure staff receive appropriate levels of training and supervision.
3. To have specific responsibility for updating the relevant computerised booking systems for clinic maintain session, ensuring this function is co-ordinated and updated accurately and in a timely manner.
4. To manage appointment capacity and monitor the timeliness of patient appointments and utilisation of cancelled appointments.
5. To manage the booking team on a day to day basis ensuring implementation of changes to ensure a clear operational streamlined approach is delivered to the team supported by standard operational procedures.
6. To follow Trust Policies in relation to patient information, storage of case notes and tracking procedures.

7. NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) Level 4 or 5
8. Foundation degree or equivalent

10. Knowledge across a range of outpatient procedures and systems acquired through work based training
11. Awareness of current NHS priorities and targets
