OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The successful candidate will be working in a warehouse environment and will need to be physically fit to assist in manual handling. You will play a lead role in workflow management and staff supervision for the company records management operation. You will manage throughput to ensure best practices are adhered to and that technologies are utilized to provide the highest level of customer service and business benefit.
You will work closely with the management team to provide effective support to both clients and suppliers as well as the operational staff.
This role is working on an ongoing temp basis which may become permanent.
KEY TASKS:
1. Mentor the operational team.
2. Oversee direct communications with clients and internal communication.
3. Provide personal development to the team in a live working environment.
4. Share lessons learned over past years to align and enhance current service levels.
5. Maintain full awareness and understanding of specifications and SLAs for each client.
6. Effectively review, prioritize, and manage workflow and resource planning within the team to fulfill SLA requirements.
7. Distribute and delegate tasks across the team considering the appropriate skill sets of staff.
8. Liaise with customers to facilitate effective processing, highlighting and suggesting solutions to any obstacles affecting task completion within required SLAs.
9. Inform the Operations Manager in a timely manner of any issues affecting task completion or SLAs.
10. Ensure that all statistical information is accurately logged and maintained daily.
11. Collate information to be provided to the Operations Manager in the agreed format for notified month-end cut-off dates.
12. Attend and contribute to senior management team meetings, providing feedback and suggestions to resolve operational issues and enhance overall service delivery and communication.
13. Actively seek ongoing professional and self-development by suggesting and implementing processes for continual improvement and offering solutions to issues as they arise.
14. Ensure that the team area is kept clean and tidy and free from potential hazards, adhering to all Health and Safety procedures.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Warehouse experience.
2. Team Leader or Senior worker background.
3. Forklift trained is an advantage but not essential.
