Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Software Development. This is a key leadership position where you will manage and mentor a small, dynamic team while actively contributing to product development. You’ll play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge software solutions that align with strategic objectives and meet market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Manage software development projects across web, mobile apps, and platform integrations, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and technical staff, to deliver customer-focused solutions.
* Ensure the team is aligned with broader business goals and stays ahead of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
* Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and tools.
* Regular travel to UK sites will be required to collaborate with technical teams and ensure consistent delivery across locations.

* Proven leadership experience in software development, with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
* Strong technical background, ideally with knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, cloud connectivity, or access control technologies.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to align software development goals with business objectives.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships both internally and externally.
* A customer-centric approach with a passion for exceeding client expectations.
* Flexibility and willingness to travel within the UK.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience in multiple software development languages and methodologies, with a focus on modern development practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Experience with report generation and using advanced statistics to track departmental progress.
* Ability to deliver software demonstrations and presentations effectively.

Pay: £60,000.00-£85,000.00 per year
