A client within the Public Sector based in Lincolnshire is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Construction team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a construction environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to be responsible for delivering high-quality and professional Quantity Surveying services to support the delivery of the clients construction works programmes.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Preparation and administration of contract documents, including BoQs and activity schedules.
Managing tendering processes, evaluating bids, and recommending contract award procedures.
Negotiating with suppliers on tenders, variations, claims, and contractual matters to protect the Council’s interests.
Ensuring financial control of individual projects, monitoring expenditures, and producing financial reports.
Providing commercial support and advice to internal teams, including building surveying, architecture, and engineering.
The Candidate To be considered for this role, you will require:
A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience).
Full corporate membership of an appropriate professional body (RICS or similar) or significant industry experience in lieu.
