Stores Assistant/ Driver
NHS B2 - £23,615
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week - 6 months fixed term contract.

The role of the department is to support the clinical delivery within the Trust through the management and timely delivery of equipment and consumables through an effective logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
1. Accurately receipt/place orders either manually or electronically.
2. Maintain stock levels of NHS orders, consumables, equipment, uniform (including new starter packs), medicines (including controlled drugs (CDs)) in the store area, ensuring clear audit trails and regular stock rotation to minimise waste.
3. Report any discrepancies in deliveries in a timely manner.
4. Ensure that all stocks in the warehouse are secure, safely positioned, and do not represent a hazard to others, taking full account of Health & Safety regulations at all times and keeping the stores area clean and tidy.
5. Ensure that all stocks during transportation or delivery are secure, safely positioned, and do not represent a hazard to others, disposing of waste appropriately.
6. Pick consumables, medicines, and controlled drugs in preparation for delivery.
7. Prepare the van for deliveries, loading with consumables, drug pouches, controlled drugs, equipment, and uniforms on a daily basis employing good manual handling techniques.
8. Be responsible for the security and safe transport of controlled drugs and other medicines whilst in transit.
Requirements:
1. Good standard of education with basic IT skills, able to use Microsoft Office.
2. Previous Stores/Warehouse and NHS experience is desirable along with multi-drop delivery.
3. A good level of physical fitness is essential due to heavy lifting and pushing/pulling of stock and deliveries.
4. The ability to work unsupervised and organise your workload is vital, along with good communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
5. A flexible and adaptable approach to respond to the requirements and challenges of the logistical role.
