The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Senior Capital Engineering Manager (m/f/*), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
* Lead and develop a team of Project Engineers and Engineering Managers located at plants in Belgium, Germany, UK and Ireland, ensuring technical competency and project management skills are maintained and enhanced.
* Identify and implement valuable and opportunity-driven projects, ensuring effective and efficient execution of cost-effective capital solutions delivered with speed and accuracy.
* Implement new technologies throughout 3M, collaborating with internal and external partners to develop and execute facility and equipment renewal plans.
* Support operations and commercial partners by executing strategic and operational plans for the engineering group and assisting in the execution of similar plans for assigned production plants.
* Plan and execute growth, productivity, EHS, and renewal capital investments, supporting annual capital planning and ensuring cost-effective and accurate project execution.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
* Successfully completed degree in the field of Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering).
* In-depth experience in hands-on capital project leadership and connected regulations (Seveso/ATEX).
* Strong knowledge and extensive experience in the field of capital project execution.
* English communication proficiency.
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
* Formal project management qualification e.g. PMI certification.
* Demonstrated strong project leadership and business acumen in agile project management.
* Structured working, high resilience and ability to work in complex environment.
* High communication and teamwork skills.
Job specifics:
* Location Information: Bracknell, Hybrid (must live within a commutable distance of 3M Centre, Bracknell)
* Travel expectations: May include EMEA travel up to 25% (depending on location)
