An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Tees Youth Justice Service to recruit a Restorative Justice Worker to our busy multi-disciplinary team. You will be highly motivated and passionate about engaging with victims of crime and working with young people and their families.
You will understand and model the principles and values which underpin restorative practice. Key functions include contacting victims of crime, providing impact statements to inform assessments, reports and intervention plans for young people.
You will be required to facilitate how young people repair the harm they cause to victims and communities, promote restorative approaches, including facilitating restorative conferences, and deliver training to volunteers for Referral Order Panels. You will undertake the range of expected duties and responsibilities of the YJS including working flexibly to meet the needs of the service and service users, including evening/weekend working. Access to a vehicle is essential.
