With bold ambitions, we are seeking a dynamic, experienced HR professional to join us at this exciting time of growth and transformation. This new and influential role will be vital in shaping the delivery of our People Strategy and supporting the next phase of our organisational development.
The Role
As part of Sandwell Council’s HR service, you’ll lead in three key areas: HR business partnering, Learning and OD business partnering, and HR casework within our consultancy team. You’ll work flexibly across various projects and workstreams, playing an essential role in shaping the future of Sandwell Council.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Driving forward the delivery of our People Strategy (2024-2027).
2. Leading on organisational change, restructures, and workforce planning.
3. Developing impactful learning and development interventions.
4. Supporting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion priorities.
5. Offering expert HR advice and guidance across a range of key HR initiatives.
The Person
We’re looking for someone with:
1. Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to inspire and motivate others.
2. Extensive HR experience across the full spectrum of HR services, including business partnering and organisational development.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
4. A commitment to supporting organisational change, whilst upholding the council's values.
5. You must be educated to Level 5 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
As part of our HR Wider Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in helping us achieve our vision of becoming an outstanding council, focused on putting our communities first.
