Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Cost Manager to fill a permanent opening with our client located in the City Centre of Glasgow. Interested candidates will have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects covering Energy, Defence, Nuclear, Power, Utilities.\n\nResponsibilities of the Senior Cost Manager:\n\nConducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports\nManaging the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively\nEnsuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively\nEnsuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively\nEnsuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.\nManaging estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.\nValue engineering and life cycle costing\nTaking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages \n\nRequirements of the Senior Cost Manager:\n\nDegree Qualified\nMembership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)\nAt least 5 years experience with provable technical delivery experience\nSignificant exposure to, and good working relations with, private and public sector clients\nHave experience of solely managing projects of up to £5M and up to £30M as part of a team \n\nOn offer for the Senior Cost Manager:\n\nThis position offers a starting salary of between £55-65k, a good work to life balance and project exposure.\n\nCompany benefits package includes Pension scheme, 34 days annual leave, Private healthcare, Life assurance, and a range of other benefits
