Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse to join Easington South Community Intervention Team. The applicant will provide evidenced based care and treatment within a recovery framework for adults with Mental Health conditions. You will need to be enthusiastic and highly motivated with experience in assessments and delivery of care for patients in a community setting. You will have access to full Preceptorship and clinical supervision within the team and will work closely with other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team. There are varied opportunities for training and development, and peer support and supervision systems are in place. 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework is essential. Main duties of the job To improve the lives of people with mental ill health by minimising the impact of their condition through the delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and well being. To be compassionate in meeting the needs of patients and their carers. To achieve successful completion of the Preceptorship Program. To work as part of a community team which may be integrated, workingcollaboratively and in partnership with local authority services. To be professionally accountable and responsible for patient care undertaking a range of clinical/therapeutic interventions in patients' homes and other community settings. To act as lead professional or care coordinator as appropriate. To promote social inclusion, community access and participation through the provision of patient care. To facilitate others in the team to develop competence by providing leadership, day to day supervision, clinical advice and clinical supervision to associate practitioners, community support workers and students as appropriate.
