RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT BUYER Day to day buying activities, ensuring that demands are understood and met and issues are dealt with promptly. Operational support of supplier relationships to ensure on time delivery and payment of invoices. Assisting with the data collection and validation of the Service Centre reporting within the allocated category structure. Continuously maintain the Fusion housekeeping to ensure the accuracy of purchase order data. Developing and maintaining working relationships and awareness with internal Supply Chain Management and key internal stakeholders, to ensure processes are adhered to and Management and key internal stakeholders, to ensure processes are adhered to and placement of orders. Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE ASSISTANT BUYER Experience of sourcing to contract Experience of Public Procurement Regulations The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015) The Procurement Act 2023 (PA 2023) Knowledge of end-to-end public procurement Experience of end-to-end tendering Tender evaluation experience Experience of System Implementations (finance) Previous experience in a procurement/purchasing environment Excellent communication skills Knowledge and understanding of JAGGAER preferably or Ariba as an equivalent.
