Spinwell is recruiting for an Assistant Buyer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT BUYER
* Day to day buying activities, ensuring that demands are understood and met and issues are dealt with promptly.
* Operational support of supplier relationships to ensure on time delivery and payment of invoices.
* Assisting with the data collection and validation of the Service Centre reporting within the allocated category structure.
* Continuously maintain the Fusion housekeeping to ensure the accuracy of purchase order data.
* Developing and maintaining working relationships and awareness with internal Supply Chain Management and key internal stakeholders, to ensure processes are adhered to and placement of orders.
* Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE ASSISTANT BUYER
* Experience of sourcing to contract
* Experience of Public Procurement Regulations
o The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015)
o The Procurement Act 2023 (PA 2023)
* Knowledge of end-to-end public procurement
* Experience of end-to-end tendering
* Experience of System Implementations (finance)
* Previous experience in a procurement/purchasing environment
* Knowledge and understanding of JAGGAER preferably or Ariba as an equivalent.
* Understands how to run back and forth in the system, not just do the admin
* Have done at least 5-10 events
